Job Description


Purpose of Position

Due to a dramatic growth phase, we need the expertise and flair of a highly experienced, marketing and communications professional to join our small yet highly productive creative team.

Since it was founded in 2006, Carbon Creative has grown into Australia’s leading Indigenous creative agency working across a diverse national and international client portfolio with a strong emphasis on positive social change. Often, but not always, this involves working in specialised communications with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and other socially marginalised populations.

Like all Carbon employees, the expectation is the Senior Marketing Co-ordinator role will work across Indigenous and non-Indigenous projects, will be respectful of all traditions and cultures, and welcomes and celebrates diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • From brief to execution contribute to planning, development and creation of marketing and communications strategies for a diverse national and international client portfolio
  • Assist with development and execution of innovative Below the Line communications campaigns
  • Assist with the tender creation – including development of creative approach, writing and submission
  • Support the growth of the business through effective marketing strategies for the Carbon brand
  • Develop and implement social media strategy for Carbon and its clients, as required
  • Co-ordinate the A – Z of events and functions, as required
  • General administrative functions relating to marketing and communications function e.g. database management, day to day operations

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be experienced 5 – 7 years in an agency or in house role
  • Be degree qualified in marketing and communications and/or equivalent
  • Must have excellent written skills – copywriting and proofing
  • Must have excellent verbal skills – presenting to clients, stakeholders
  • Have great time management skills, be able to work autonomously and juggle conflicting priorities
  • Be an energetic, willing, collaborative team player

  • Is self motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Have a strong social remit with a natural motivation to contribute towards positive social change
